Namrata “Namu” Kulkarni
Namu is Behavioral Counselor from Mumbai, India. She has taught across all grades from PreSchool to Grade 5 and is especially passionate about offering therapy, designing curriculum, training teachers, building social emotional skills, and supporting teachers with inquiry-based practices.
Namu started her started her career as a Behavioral Counselor for children with autism. She then became a Psychologist for young children at private schools in Mumbai and was later tapped to be part of the founding team of a new IB school school in Mumbai. Namu’s life positively changed when she took a job at their partner school in Seattle, USA (UCDS) as a teacher. Namu attended the POCC and found deep resonance and meaning as part of the DEI team at her school. She returned to India in 2020 and joined an esteemed school in Pune as an English Language Acquisition Teacher. Namu is also currently pursuing a Diploma in Early Childhood Education from the Azim Premji University in India. Namu has a Bachelors & Masters in Psychology with a major in Counseling Psychology.
